“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.” - Maria Montessori
The ratio in our infant room is 1:4. The goal of our infant teachers is to encourage each baby to explore their environment safely as they grow.
Toddlers: Ages 16 months to age 3: As each infant reaches the age of 16 months and indicates signs of readiness, they will begin the transition into the toddler program. The ratio in the toddler program is 1:7. The goal of toddler teachers is to continue to provide a safe environment for each child to explore while offering opportunities for them to gain confidence in various self-help skills such as eating at a table, sleeping on a cot, playing and sharing with their peers, communicating their wants and needs, etc.
All Stars Montessori’s goal is to provide a loving and caring atmosphere in which children feel secure in exploring their environment. Our devoted staff will meet each child’s physical needs while encouraging their curiosity as well as independence and self care. As we nurture the children in our care, we will teach by example respect for self and respect for others.
All Stars Montessori staff uses the Montessori curriculum to provide children at each level with exposure to experiences in: practical life, sensorial, language, math, art, music and movement, science, dramatic play and geography. Understanding how important play is and the amount of energy children have, we will provide ample opportunity for use of large motor skills through indoor and outdoor activities.
All Stars Montessori staff also believes that the relationship between parents and caregivers is crucial in providing children with security and stability. We will always encourage parent involvement and foster open and honest lines of communication, offering support to the family as a whole. We will always use tact and discretion in our dealings with parents.
Reaching for the Stars!
